Indian kings ruled over whites

To most western minds, their superiority supposedly stems from the fact that they ruled over us. The spark in their eye when they say it is something to be seen. Wait a minute! Just tell them that they were also at one point ruled over by Indians for several hundred years ad that stare of disbelief and outright dismissal is again something to be seen!

Here is a small quiz to the blog visitors. Can anyone list the time periods/locations when Indians ruled over whites? I will mention them in a week's time but try your hand at this and let me know.

  1. Ok time for the answer,

    1. A good part of the Bactrian subjects were whites, mostly Hellenized people or Greeks. Mind you these are not the Caucasians of the Central Asian type but more of the Mediterranean type. These people essentially were invaders (under Alexander and Selecus Nicator) who were defeated by Chandragupta Maurya.
    2. It is said that emperor Lalitaditya conquered his way all up to the borders of Turkey. This was another such event when Whites were ruled by Indian Kings/Emperors.
    3. And of course there is the odd Portugese whites who were ruled over by Krishna Deva Raya.

    Now you know!
